It’s the Content, Stupid!
Just got back from Paris and one incredible conference: Content Strategy Forum 2010. We did it! There’s no denying it was a smashing success. Firehead were proud sponsors of this ground-breaking event and I, personally, am very proud to have been a conference organiser and TAC President.
So what was this all about? “It’s the Content, Stupid!”, the conference slogan, sums it up pretty aptly. A new focus on the content itself is refreshing to see – isn’t that what it’s all about?
I really think the word is out now and Content Strategy is the next Thing in our field. I believe this focus on the essence, the content, will help create a new awareness of the need for quality technical communications.
Let’s see.. Paris in the springtime, attendees from 18 countries, Icelandic volcanoes and travellers, writeups in the Huffington Post, the first European meeting of this kind, international discussions about where our field is going, luminous personalities, growth, growth, growth… there’s so much to write about! I think I’ll step back a little to absorb and assess it all and then take it bit by bit.
For now, check out what Steve Rosenbaum of The Huffington Post had to say about our forum.
See you soon. More to come.
